A chair is what we sit on.
We use them for many different things,
Even royal people use them for kings.
At a table, in a room, we use them when eating food,
They save our legs and lighten our mood.
Four legs, a back and a seat,
Sometimes even a place to rest our feet.
They can rock, recline and change height,
But don’t lean back too far, we will lose the fight.
They can be moved around and placed where you wish,
With a push or a pull you can reach dishes or watch fish.
I can make funny sound like a screech or a scratch,
Sometimes I might sound like a rat
It can hurt your legs if you sit for a while,
It would be just like you ran a mile.
To make walls of a fort or a step to the cookie jar,
Always appreciate me I’m never too far.
