The Chess Game

The clock struck at three.
The chess game started.
The pieces are jumping trying to get out.
Children open the board!
Pawns, knights, kings, queens, rooks and
bishops.
Children capture each other’s pieces.
The broad, black, bold pieces won!
Knocking down the white king.
White is frightened like a scared mouse.
Someone is crying like a baby.
But the other kid is cheering as he’s won.
A medal as shiny as gold!
Running down stairs cheering and laughing.
He’s the master.
