The creek walk

As I walked among the trees,
The patchy pathway pioneered the way,
And guided me to the waterfall.
The fingers of the trees tickled my head,
The playful wind blew,
Until my hair was tangled.
Splash, splash, splash!
There, the waterfall I could finally see,
It is compact but stunning.
Water burbled along the rocks,
Making a splattering sound.
I stared at the waterfall as I left reluctantly,
Heading back to where I belong.
