The Cross Necklace

I have this necklace
It is precious too.
My mum gave it to me
To me it is special.

My mum said I’m always here
She told me it was given for me
Its pretty, glamorous and rare
I have it in case I cry, get hurt or are scared.

But when I think of it
The necklace is my friend.
Special like my family
As precious as a gemstone.

It’s a sign of peace,
Sign of memories
And a sign of faith
The cross is a smile.
