My wings are the scales of a snake that glisten in the sunshine,

The ocean glistens in the sunlight as I land on the wet and sandy shoreline,

The warm sun smiles down on my feathers as I ruffle them,

I am surrounded by other sandpipers scavenging the sand for some food,

Humans. When will they stop disturbing me? Why are they doing this? How much longer until I am gone? Humans.

Please Save Me,

The Curlew Sandpiper needs you.
