The desert

Up above I saw the sun, gleaming down UV rays.
It hurt my eyes so I looked in front of me, all I could see were the kangaroos hovering over the dryland looking for water.
But with no success, they went home.
My mouth was dry and I needed water.
I leapt over as fast as my legs could bring me to shade.
I laid down and closed my eyes, as I felt a little bite.
I jumped up in rage.
Only to see a bull ant the size of a pea.
In a far, far away landscape. I saw a pond full of water.
Without even thinking, I ran over to the pond only to see it was a mirage,
and then suddenly I plummet to the ground.
I woke up in my bed only for it to be a dream.
