Near the end of my beloved dog’s life,
I bought a toy to remember him.
I will always believe he is now in the afterlife,
So I know he hasn’t been dumped in the bin.

The dog statue helps me remember,
All the times that we were together.
The toy helps me remember when he stood brave and tall,
And helps me remember how he’d chase the ball.

Even though he is not here,
I adored the way he barked,
It was music to my ears.

The statue holds our memories,
For the times that we were friends.
Those times that he was playing with me,
Those times you’ll see will never end.

The dog that I loved,
Has now made his way above.
I miss him dearly,
Signed,
His owner, Emily
