The Eastern Quoll

It is impossible.
The words echo through my mind.
No one ever cares about the environment.
The tiny creatures float into my head once more.
Fluffy, bushy tails and pleading eyes.
Tiny quolls are trying to protect themselves from extinction.
From a high mountain peak, I gaze at the forest and shrubs.
The birds, gracefully flapping their wings.
Will we ever be able to help?
