In the land where the eucalyptus trees sway

The Eastern Rosella comes out one day,

There stands a bird with a vivid display

There go the animals with a brilliant gaze.

His plumage a tapestry of radiant red

“Like a big royal cape” the Rosella said.

As he soars through the air, to show off his wings

He descends back down and starts to sing.

From crimson red to an azure head

A lily white mask on every bird,

He flies away when he is found

His vibrant colours make the world astounded.

He has no colour scheme

Mulberry cobalt and mahogany,

A bird of wonder in radiant themes

From day to night this bird is missed seen.

These marvellous patterns are such a surprise

A gift of nature pure and bright,

The bird dances as the colours shine

As it celebrates life, where beauty lies.
