The endangered grey swimmer

As my arm rests on the rim
I see a large fin
As I look across the reef
A look of disbelief
It zips around
Like a car going through town
Through the coral it goes
As the salty air fills my nose
My heart skips a beat
But my friends help me to a seat
A harpoon is shot
As I tell my friends to do not
The shark lies dead
As it is engulfed in red
Along comes a shiver of sharks
Coming around to look at the marks
It drifts off into space
To only be picked up for human taste
We must stop this I said
Or all reef sharks will be dead
