The Endangered Orange-Bellied Parrot

The Orange-Bellied parrot of South Australia finds just the perfect place to perch,
its small claws grab onto the hollow nest in the large eucalyptus tree,
and blooms out its wings,
as I watch it hover above the vibrant green leaves.
I watch from out the window as the big bright moon lightens up the sky.
Reflections from the stars dart towards the sky and create elegant constellations.
The tranquil bird glides through the bushy trees as dark shadows surround the bird,
it smoothly flies into a hollow hole in the tree and nests in the nest built in it,
and suddenly scurries away to save the small chick of its own,
as I lay on my bed and think about the bird.
I feel a gust of wind sway past me as I open the window.
The constellation of magical stars grow bigger and reflect a bird-like constellation on the glass.
