The Escarpment

The Escarpment’s known to most 

Some call it foggy mountain 

Or a giant boat

In southeast NSW

As old as time can see

Sometimes I wonder

How this landmark is to be

It provides us with oxygen and creativity 

It started 30 million years ago

When one tree dropped a seed

It’s now 120km long 

Right by the sea

I see it from my classroom window

And bedroom too

Were provided with eucalyptus 

And honeydew

Shelter to wildlife 

But there’s no bamboo

We have Acacia Binervia 

I want to protect it, how about you?
