The eucalyptus tree

The tree stands tall
But soon it shall fall
For the trucks are coming
But the tree
Cannot flee
As they saw through me
I remember better days
The rivers flowing
The leaves are blowing
The koalas chewing
On the eucalyptus leaves
The golden wattles blooming
Grass have races
Who’s the tallest, who’s the greenest
Birds are talking, cockatoos squawking
Kookaburras laughing, crows are cawing
But all life forms die
The eucalyptus tree may stand tall
But all life forms fall
And the eucalyptus tree flied up high
