The Eucalyptus Trees

The Eucalyptus trees

Covering the sunlight, creating a canopy.

Leaves swaying from side to side

Falling downwards as they glide.

The river runs, as clear as glass

In the crystal water silver bass dance.

Rainbow lorikeets' colours so bright

Chirping wildly in their flight.

Calm koalas hide at hand 

Waterfalls splash on murky land.

Possums, resting in the trees

Sheltering from the cold breeze.

Sunshine blazes into my eyes

Through the trees, above the skies.

A beautiful rainbow appears

Amongst the Eucalyptus trees.
