The Fire Koala

In the heart of the bush where the gumtrees sway,
Lived a koala named Kira, who loved to play.
With fur soft as clouds and eyes big and bright,
She climbed up a tree, her heart filled with fright,
The smoke filled the air, dimming day into night.
With each passing moment, the heat drew so near,
Through the chaos and flames, she held on so tight,
As the fire raged on, and the forest turned to ash,
When sunset finally broke, the sky clear and blue,
Though singed were her fur and her home in ruins,
Kira stood tall, for her heart was still blooming.
With courage and might, she searched for her kin,
In the blackened remains, she found hope deep within.
Life in the bush, though it may start new,
Is a testament strong to the spirit so true.
