The Forest

Feeling the fresh breeze
Amongst tall, imposing trees
Bloodthirsty mosquitoes
Are they friends or are they foes?
Various plants, including peas
Dazzling flowers for the graceful bees
The rough sound of the hardened soil
Wandering wolves, some are very loyal
Dead leaves lying sprawled on the ground
Thin sticks from nests that the birds found
Up high, the sound of flapping wings
The eye-catching fauna that Mother Nature brings
Fierce water rushing through rivers
Unbreakable webs crafted by spiders
Inside caves are countless rats
And if you look up, you see small, stealthy bats
Fields of green, some wet, some dry
Surrounding it are creepy dragonflies
Strong winds almost blowing me away
Luckily I’ll live to see another day
