The Forest

Trees branches swaying in the breeze.

Birds chirping in the leaves, 

Strange noises surrounding me.

The trees of wonder are all around me.

The chirps of birds are a heartbeat.

The tree branches extend, growing taller and taller.

Making a song in the midst of the waterfall.

As I put my body on the stiff trunk

The tree is moving as if it is alive.

The leaves sway and fall amongst the strong howl of the wind.

Damp parts in the forest trees on the ground all around.

The animals are scared, the birds are fleeing in flocks.

Hoping that there are no more destroyed trees.

In other parts of the forest, the leaves move in motion with the wind.

The wind is becoming stronger until it is a vicious roar, 

Big leaves are soaking, falling to the soggy ground.

Seeds are waiting to sprout in this rain

The forest will grow again.
