The gentle deep

People think of the ocean differently compared to me. I stand up to the shores, and I hear a gentle little voice calling to me from the ocean and whispering to me, dive into me and note your surroundings. I feel a gentle breeze come along. I stand on a tall rock and dive in with a big splash. My courage pulls me in. Gentle waters start to twinkle up above me. I duck my head up above the surface. The sun pulls itself away from me, I yell wait! and start to swim even further, only to find a star dropping out of the sky. As I go down further I reckon with more waves forming into mountains and crashing into rocks and the darkness of the water surrounds me. I say thank you. As I lay floating I feel more grateful.
