The Giant Dragonfly

The winged insect splashes gently over the swampy river,

Each droplet falling from its wing touching the land below like a tear from an angel, 

Their big eyes catching every moment,

Flying around to face their opponent,

Heat, it's killing them!

As the ground dries up again.

Their water disappears, what will they drink?

Their liquid supply is slowly starting to shrink, 

Its delicate body fighting scorching droughts,

This species, Giant Dragonfly, is beautiful without a doubt.

We have to save them before it's too late, 

And if we can't, then soon it will be their fate.
