The Great Barrier Reef

The transparent ocean sucks up all the warm light rays,
The reflection blinds me Coral and kelp swaying softly with the wrinkles of the water gaze upon the dying coral,
I cannot stop this, it's inevitable!
The ocean lifted its arm to touch the shore
Trying to pull me in I cannot resist it,
The reef is the most magical and majestic thing on earth
It's like it puts me in a trance
It reminds me of a dream I once had
The reef is an animal awaiting its prey,
Using the water as its bait
When I am running across the sand, I can hear it call me
The reef is a place from the heavens
It must have fallen to earth
The birds just add to the sensation,
Their calming chirps make me feel at home
But then sadly I also hear the oil tankers dumping oil into the water
The slick creates a scarily black layer over the animal’s habitat,
We must save the reef!
