The Great Barrier Reef

The Amazon rainforest of the sea
Bursting with the natural beauty of
The blossoming polyp
Its mysterious, unknown waters
Are filled with unique creatures, like me
The loggerhead sea turtle.
As I glide around with happiness
In the aquatic paradise this underwater painting
Is rich with bright yellows, pinks, greens and blues.
The colours bounce off the reef.
The coral stands tall
Looking as fierce as a shark
And the soft sewed gently blows with the current of the Water.
I suddenly see my home is dull
and it's withering away
Before my eyes, the waste is spreading like wildfire
Tearing the reef apart
The coral turns a pale white and dies...
The Great Barrier Reef must be saved now.
