I could feel the Green Sea Turtle’s presence at my fingertips.

The way it moved, the way it looked, the way it swam.

It was all there.

I looked around, and there it was, not a thought, but a thing.

The elegant turtle gracefully glided through the light blue reef.

I could hear the faint sound of my friends calling me from above the ocean,

But I ignored it.

The only thing that mattered right now was the turtle,

So the only thing I would pay attention to, was the turtle.

The reef was so quiet you could hear a pin drop,

and I was the happiest I would ever be.

Suddenly, a bunch of fish devoured the area, and the turtle was gone,

Just like that,

But somehow I felt as if he was still there,

As he was still moving, looking, swimming, but that was over.

He was gone.
