The grey things

I was walking down the street,
Wanting to get a treat.
Until I walked past a tree,
There was grey things in it, three.
They were munching on the leaves,
Looking down at some thieves.
Wait, thieves? They're coming for me.
The things watched from the tree,
They then all looked at me.
One pointed its leaf to me,
The next was to the left,
The third one pointed at the tree,
I knew where to be.
I climbed up the tree on the left to safety,
To be saved by the bears.
I heard about these things,
Their name was quite cute.
I remembred as I passed a ute,
Koala.
