Every time I come to the tree it opens its arms for me.

Rain and night, it takes away my fright,

I feel safe when I’m with the tree because it loves me.

Every day the furry-like stray

Comes to me and I let it stay.

I welcome it with my open arms

It yawns, it sleeps, it walks on its feet.

My rough bark becomes soft when he’s around,

I feel loved when he sleeps without a sound.

The hollow tree is not hollow for me,

It gives me food for the night,

It gives me a hug when I’m in a fright,

They say to go away, that is not where you're supposed to stay.

The furry-like cat is never a brat,

He protects me when I feel sore.

The food I give him he never asks for more,

He is nicer than most of them all.

The tree is like a nest that helps me rest,

Sadly it's the last time I will sleep there,

Remember me my lovely tree.
