In Cambridge, England close to the home of my heart,
The first place we head to is this magical little park,
Where the autumn leaves dance along the ground,
And if you're lucky, you may see a hedgehog scuttling around!
Tiny Robin red breasts chirp merrily away, and the treetops sway and whisper,
Just be careful not to get a blister.
This place fills my heart with such joy because my family is there,
And the mossy green grass is like my natural chair!
I remember the time we found a flower covered with pixie dust!
It is a place where I can reflect and just…..
We walk my Nanna’s dog here and I often rest by this special tree,
It fills me with happiness, joy and glee!
When we go to England to see my family, that is the place that you will find me!
By this ancient, stately oak tree.
As the afternoon at this magical place draws to a end,
It feels like I have been wrapped in the arms of a dear friend,
Thank you for coming on this special journey with me!
And thank you Red Room Poetry!
