The Koala's Call

In the eucalyptus, high and free,
Lives a creature, soft as can be.
With big, round eyes and fur so grey,
The koala dreams of a brighter day.
But their home is shrinking, trees cut down,
In search of space, we wear a frown.
The forest whispers a worried plea,
“Protect our friends, let them be free!”
They munch on leaves, so fresh and green,
In their sleepy world, they reign as queens.
But fires rage and habitats fade,
It’s time for us to make the grade.
So let’s stand up, let’s take a stand,
For these gentle souls across the land.
With love and care, we can make a change,
And help their future not seem so strange.
Together we’ll raise our voices loud,
For the koalas, we’ll be proud.
In unity, let’s show we care,
For the ones who climb, for the ones who share.
