The land we stand upon,

Big and colourful,

Bright and shining,

My feet crunching, shuffling, through the crispy leaves.

“Whoosh!” I hear the dancing wind,

It drums upon my ears like an elegant swan.

I ponder through this heavenly bush, with gumtrees like giants,

The dusty dry air, flowing through my hair.

It gets caught in my mouth, but I don’t care,

What a wonderful sight to see,

All the busy bees buzzing,

All the majestic kangaroos hopping.

As I exit this shaded, sweeping paradise,

I come upon the ocean, flowing with motion,

It glistens as it gives me goosebumps.

As I stare at this sleeping beauty, my feet sink in the sand.

Seagulls sing a symphony and the crabs take percussion,

Waves towering, as it whistles its tune,

Starfish sunbaking in the warm light,

As I drift off to sleep.
