The Last Breath of Hope

She searches for unspoken words,
Courage grasped in hand,
Wishing she can save the plants
From the dirty axe of man.
Rustling can be heard,
Though she is not afraid,
She clutches to the bravery
And strength she has made.
She thinks over her problems,
Of the plants that could be lost,
Of the place that she has grown up in,
Of the place that she loves most.
It isn’t fair to all the plants;
She has watched them grow.
The mere thought of a city
Fills her with sorrow.
So she must have to do something –
The plants just have to cope!
She needs a smart, big idea –
It’s her last breath of hope.
