The small fragile tree nearly blown over,

in the strong winds.

The sprouting leaves reaching for the sun,

 to grow.

A tree growing,

with a thick, majestic, round trunk,

waiting for the rain to fall,

to make it grow tall.

A tall tree now,

smooth trunk, round indents,

running my hand down the trunk,

feeling them, a delightful feeling.

The lemon-scented tree,

massive scattered branches,

embracing the flowers,

the scent making me smile.
