The Life of a Magpie

Cracking, flapping and scrapping
The mother feeding the child
The infant calling for more, as they riled
Soaring, roaming and croaking `
Their song reverberates throughout the blue
It is divine, I’m being true
Chirping, lurking and working
Their wings cover the sky
As they gracefully fly
Resting, infesting and blessing
Their legs lying on a branch as they perch
The bird seems like it’s merged
Pecking, flecking and checking
Black as the midnight sable
White as an ivory fable
Squawking, stalking and gnawing
Their optics journey across the surroundings
The prey not accounting
This is the life cycle of a magpie
Remember the way they look and fly
