In this locket I see a boy, a man.
They’re smiling joyfully.
If they were here now
They would make the most,
The most of every minute.
I carry this around
Sometimes I just sit
In the sight of delight.
The carving on the locket--
Stunning waves and swirls
Are flowing through the golden colour.
I hear the click of the fragile clip
That connects the locket together.
This box that holds every memory together
Is small, blue with a glossy ribbon and bow
Shimmering in bright sight.
I can taste the warmth of our connection.
