The tall macadamia tree sways above my head.

The macadamia leaves dangling beside me as I walk past them.

Listening to the leaves whisper: wisha - wisha - wisha.

The macadamia nuts clashing together:

Click - clack - clock.

The birds chirping: meep - meep.

Bees buzzing: buzz - buzz - buzz.

I ask myself: “how long till they’re gone?”

I am sad at the thought of all of them dying.
