The majestic bandicoot peers for light out of the mother’s pouch,

The bandicoot tip toes,

It quietly walks to get food through the long, luscious green grass,

Watching out for feral cats.

Out of every corner of the eye,

She sees a feral cat crunching through the green grass,

She starts to run as fast as a scared wombat,

She gets away,

Without a scratch or a bite to be seen,

We need help, we don’t want to lose another beautiful Tasmanian animal.
