The Majestic Gum Tree

As the impressive Gum Tree reaches its towering

branches towards the sun, over the past years,

its looming shadow grows larger.

It may seem frightening for some at first glance, 

but once you follow those branches you will see that it is a very

generous type of tree… 

But believe it or not these branches hold an amazing secret,

for in those branches there is a tiny possum crawling around

and it will fit in the palm of your hand! 

It is quite small and very tiny, it is the Leadbeaters Possum of course!

But then the earth shakes and motors roar as the tiny possums fall,

trees are chopped down and so are many homes…

As people search the remains all they find is dust and a mixture of

bark.
