The Mountain

Their rugged faces, weathered and old,
Stories of time are yet to be told.
Guardians of the earth below,
Watching over all we know.
Silent giants, strong and true,
Their beauty was forever renewed.
In their shadows we find peace.
A sense of wonder that will never cease.
Swaying trees, buzzing bees
Adventure that we all seek
Through the bush to find the peak
We find our peace; the mountain speaks.
The frosted peaks of emotion they hold
The mountain terrain is wild and bold.
For those who climb to the top
Their feet were planted on the rock.
So let us climb, let us explore,
The mountains are calling forevermore.
For in their presence, we find our place.
A connection to nature's grace.
