The Native Sunset Shell

I lay on the ocean floor
I quickly jump to the top of the ocean
Floating back to the
Ocean's sandy floors
Swoosh as I twirl through
The waves like a ballerina
People say I’m like a window
To the sound of waves
A sunset in a summer breeze
With a shimmer of light that reflects on me
Like treasure from the ocean,
The blue blanket of shimmer
I’m a soldier as tough as metal
I’m a unique shell like treasure
People take me like they're carrying
The ocean every step of the way
I start to go as dry as the desert
I dance and hop along the sand
I hear the saltwater pour out of me
Out of me like a waterfall
