I hear, tell, of an endangered tree.

A tree that only lives on Mt Nardi

What does it look like? What might it be?

Let's go find out, just you and me.

The camera's packed and ready to use,

Along with plenty of water and food

As we walk through the bush, we can see

rays of the sun shining through the leaves,

Birds singing sweetly without a care,

here, there, everywhere.

As we get closer, we feel its power

raining down like an invisible shower

Up and up we climb so high

It's as if this tree will touch the sky

On top of the range, we find the great tree

The Nightcap Oak now stands before me

An ancient elder, it's here just to be

All that it is, peace and beauty.

Will it be here next time? We don't know

All I can say is it's a beautiful Oak.
