In the land down under, a creature rare

With a furry nose and a gentle stare

The northern hairy-nosed wombat's plight

It is a cause for concern, a beacon of light

Endangered and few, they roam the earth

Their habitat is shrinking, facing a shortage

But in their eyes, a spirit so strong

A will to survive, against all wrong

Let's raise our voices, let's shout it loud

Protect the wombats, make them proud

For in their existence, we find such grace

Let's ensure they always have a place
