The Numbat 

Close to vanishing 

Almost out of reach 

Hiding far away 

Numbats run from swift foxes  

Fall for clever bait boxes 

They can’t hide forever 

They do try to help 

But it doesn’t work 

You can do something 

Numbat numbers are still low 

Because of the predators 

Who are still always watching 

Think about their lives 

How helpless they feel
