In Australia's sunlit land,
The numbat makes its last stand.
Tiny creature, brave and bright,
Facing dangers day and night.

Forests shrinking, homes destroyed,
Predators it can't avoid.
Eats termites with its sticky tongue,
But with numbers few, it’s barely clung.

Hope remains for the numbat's plight,
We must help to set things right.
Protect its land, its termite feast,
Save this gentle, striped beast.
