I stand at the edge of the golden bank and watch my ankles get swallowed by the glistening water.
I close my eyes and listen to the birds as they perch on the oak tree and sing.
My feet sink into the sand,
I feel like I’m falling.
The sun hurts my eyes and I think the water is alive.
How the waves in the ocean are breathing, and the waves crashing is the ocean exhaling.

I watch the waves and copy them by breathing,
It makes me feel calm.
As I’m breathing, I see a shard of a rainbow shell.
It’s like it’s calling me to swim.

I dive in and gaze upon the wonders of the seabed.
It’s like a city underwater for sea creatures.
As I step on the seabed the stones hurt my feet.

I swim back up to the surface in utter amazement and think…
The ocean is beautiful.
