The vicious oceans, unforgiving and protective,

For it is secretly sheltering plentiful reefs and valuable life underneath its tough shell,

Agony builds in the poor ocean’s gentle heart, and an outrage bursts out like a volcano,

For only humans have caused the tender ocean’s fury.

Careless people flood the crystal-clear, ocean’s precious waters with inky chaos,

Ferociously, the ocean stirs a storm and wreaks havoc upon the land,

A tsunami of endless aching floods the land with pain,

And whirlpools of infinite sorrow swell in the suffering sea.

Clambering over each other the never-ending waves battle to reach the safety of the sand,

Regardless of their courage, they are restrained back into the infinite darkness of the sea,

Where they will be tossed around by the wrath of an angered ocean,

Although these waters are their home, even the waves tremble under the brutal depths.

But underneath the ocean’s protective disguise reveals an affectionate half,

Playful dolphins glide through the sea harmoniously,

And the colourful coral work together to support a large community of lively fish,

Overpowered by our cruelty, this abundant life will slowly wilt into cold silence.

But when the divine light of the sun reflects on the murky waters,

The dull ocean returns to a joyful and bright aquamarine,

The raging waves slow and the furious storm clouds retreat at last,

Finally, the true nature of the ocean’s heart is revealed.
