The Old Pier

Wild wind crashing the old pier
Wind whaling, the trees drawing near
The joyful leaves start to die
Rain begins and animals cry
Thrashing sounds, the rain pouring and pattering on the pier
As the boats tremble and churn
Wind following the boats attached to the stern
Light breaks through, calm settles in
Glistening off the water like the final act before the closing curtain
As the birds start to sing all the land is happy in a ring
Life becomes one with the land
As the beach calms as planned
