The People are Waking

The flames are shining brighter than ever seen before. In a way, we see, this could be it 

The rain creates new seas in places we have never imagined them to be 

The animals aren’t happy that their homes are disappearing 

Even the humans are feeling the effects of their own actions 

Yet that was exactly what we needed to see the truth 

The nations are listening to the protesting people, the perceptive scientists 

A new era is beginning with the people waking up once again to unite

We have done it before for the farmers, colleagues, and those under cruel laws

This is different though

It is a bigger issue than anything we have faced 

And the people are preparing for the fight of their lives 

United Nations has created its goals and plans and is now putting them in place

CLIMATE CHANGE IS COMING FOR US ALL

We can’t wait any longer 

So put down your phone and listen carefully

The rate of sea-level rise has doubled in the last decade 

The planet’s average temperature has risen 

We are running out of time but together we can hope to slow this down

For our future and the future of our loved ones
