The Platypus

The endangered Long-billed Platypus stares deeply into my eyes as it plunges through the crystal clear, piercing cold water, crashing on the sharp boulders, like a gigantic tsunami. All the droughts, bush fires must have felt like burning torture, leaving the Platypie, with no place to call home.
The lush green environment, surrounding their majestic river burns to the ground. branches, falling from pines trees, blocking the river stream, and eventually, the river runs out of water
There are only a few hundred thousand Platypuses left in the world, and inevitably they are going to become extinct one way or the other.
