the pond

The pond sits on the side of a small mountain, 
The pond is slow, she is clear 
The pond is honest.  

The pond makes me feel calm inside but outside you cannot tell.  

She gives her water to animals that pass by 
When the children come to play around her she is happy  
She likes the company. 

She tosses and turns, 
She thinks she cannot go to sleep but she it is wrong, 
She stops tossing and turning and falls asleep with a yawn.
