The Rainforest

A luscious, thriving world, hidden beneath a sea of green.
A place untouched, where no human foot has been.
Here you will find creatures living in harmony.
They create everything they need, from a supermarket to a pharmacy.

There are gorgeous birds like lyrebirds and toucans.
With beautiful voices that rival Mozart and Schumann.
There are wide flowing rivers, that sparkle and shine.
And the big bushes and ferns leave a shiver up your spine.

Here also you can meet some of our cousins.
There are many chimpanzees and orangutans by the dozens.
But let’s not forget the many smaller creatures,
The ones like the ants, who will feast on ripe peaches.

However, these places are called rainforests for a reason.
The place is continually drenched with rain, all season!
If you ever get the chance to peep into this beautiful place,
You must make sure that you never leave a trace.
For the animals live best in their natural habitat,
With no interference from either human or wombat.
