The sap-licked trees are blanketed with heat
Smoke fills my lungs, slowing my beats
Houses in the clasp of fire
People wrung with tyre
Car crawl on the drought trail
Buildings smashed like a snail
Firebombed trees caught as the red monster roams
It was left to its ashes as if it wasn’t a home
