The Smiley Doll

She is tattered and ripped like an old dress, but her rose-pink smile remains on a dirty face. Her arms are nearly falling off with age but are holding together by fluff and material.
I've been through my ups and downs with her but she is like a silent friend, with her reassuring smile.
Her colors are like summer fruits: ruby-red cherries, sunshine colored plums and snow-white peaches. With aqua eyes and bright brown eyebrows; and the rose-pink smiles there.
She is my talisman. It wouldn’t have cost much but my value for her is more than a million dollars. She was a gift from my Dad to me when I was born.
Sally. Soft, old, floppy. But is the best friend in the whole world. She is precious, loving and lasting… Forever.
