The snow

When the winter came
You followed
When silence happened
You dropped
Fell, fell, fell
The winter snow
You fell softly all the night
You made a blanket soft and white
You covered houses and the ground
But did not make any sound

I made a great tall snowman
With two blacks coal eyes
Upon his big round head
A green hat that looked so jaunty
When I woke up next morning
My snowman had run away
Left his hat and eyes
Where was my snowman?
I asked
But there was no answer
